Our eco-contributions

Our campsite is committed to taking simple steps to protect our environment and preserve the magnificent Lake Paladru. Our dearest wish: to grow without spoiling it!

We are convinced that a holiday destination can evolve without losing what makes it charming.

Our ambition is not to develop more and more, but to develop better .

Taking the time to think about each development, favouring simple and sustainable solutions , reusing rather than throwing away and preserving the nature that surrounds us: this is our vision of reasoned development.

We choose to move forward gradually , on our own scale, taking care of our environment and supporting meaningful initiatives. Because a pleasant campsite today must also remain pleasant tomorrow.

It starts with...

The perfect holiday retreat - Renovated accommodations

image00001.jpeg

When we renovate our mobile homes, we prioritize local products and recycled materials as much as possible.

We give new life to certain equipment and we seek solutions that improve comfort without unnecessarily multiplying the resources used.

Our campsite is investing in new, more nature-friendly holiday accommodations .

Our starry dome is made in France from the wood to the canvas.

The Tipi is demountable, therefore it is more environmentally friendly.

Compost to give back to the earth ;-)

Peelings and vegetable scraps can become a resource rather than waste .

Our composters are available at the entrance to the campsite.

They allow us to valorize some of the food waste and to participate, together, in a more circular approach .

The principle is simple:

You deposit your authorized food waste in the red collection bin, then you add wood chips from the yellow structural bin.

A few simple actions, repeated by everyone, help to reduce our waste and make better use of available resources.

Recycling

Recycling at the campsite and in your rental accommodation:

  • For glass : grey container located in front of the campsite

  • For residual waste : Black bin behind the compost

  • For packaging and paper : Yellow bin behind the compost

The Bellevue Exchange

troc .jpeg

What if an object could still be used instead of ending up in the trash?

That's the whole spirit of Troc Bellevue .

This free and open-access mini-recycling center allows everyone to drop off items they no longer need and to discover new finds.

An object changes hands, a story continues , and potential waste is avoided.

At the end of the season, the remaining items are taken to the La Buisse recycling centre.

A vegetable garden to share!

At the campsite, nature can also be discovered with your hands in the soil .

Our vegetable garden is home to aromatic herbs that you can pick to flavor your salads and grilled dishes.

If you enjoy gardening, you are also welcome to participate in its upkeep.

We cultivate this space in a spirit of sharing : everyone can enjoy it, taking just what they need so that other vacationers can benefit in turn.

A few chickens also participate in the life of the vegetable garden. They can receive certain vegetable scraps adapted to their diet.

More than just a garden, this vegetable garden is an invitation to reconnect with simple gestures , to observe living things and to enjoy your holidays in a different way.

A preserved natural environment

IMG_5408.jpg
image00005.jpeg

A green space does not need to be mowed everywhere and all the time to be pleasant.

At Camping Bellevue, we practice sustainable mowing in order to preserve the fauna, flora and soils.

Some flowery areas are left alongside the maintained areas, to allow nature to find its place in the common areas.

The natural residues from mowing and pruning are also reused at the base of hedges and trees . In this way, they help to nourish the soil rather than being systematically removed.

We prefer this approach: maintaining spaces when necessary, letting vegetation live when possible, and accepting that a natural environment is not perfectly uniform.

Because preserving biodiversity also begins with how we inhabit and maintain the places we live in.

Silence, the water speaks

In our campsite, water is precious ; every little gesture counts.

During your stay, try to:

  • Identify the open taps

  • Take a shower in 4 pumps

  • Collect spring water to wash your bikes and water your plants

The campsite is equipped with water reducers to limit water waste.

Choosing Recycled Decor

velo entree.jpg

Developing a campsite does not necessarily mean building more or replacing what already exists.

At Camping Bellevue, we like to repurpose objects , reclaim materials, and let creativity flow . An old wheel becomes a barrier, a bicycle is transformed into a snack bar, and forgotten objects find a new function in the setting.

These creations are notably the work of a local artist who gives a second life to sometimes unexpected elements.

This approach is similar to ours: to be imaginative before buying new, to value existing resources and to create a place that has its own identity .

We invite you to discover these creations scattered throughout the campsite. A little treasure hunt awaits you!
